The first important step during manufacturing of  fasteners is decided to be the right selection of material and surface treatment of wire before cold forming. The surface treatment before wire-drawing comprises the following stages: Cleaning of wire surface (degreasing and pickling) Preparation for coating Phosphating (chemical or electrolytic method).
